Porcelain veneers are handcrafted, custom-made, thin shells of dental porcelain placed on your front teeth. They are stain resistant and custom-tinted to blend with surrounding teeth.
Veneers can dramatically transform your smile by correcting flaws like:
Dr. Watson will meet with you in a consultation to discuss your ideal smile and then create a custom design for your porcelain veneers. He will secure temporary veneers to your teeth, while a ceramist fabricates your one-of-a-kind restorations in our Millcreek dental lab. Once the veneers are ready, you’ll return to our office so the doctor can remove your temporaries and place the final veneers. The end result is a beautiful and stunning white smile! Chips, stains, gaps, and cracks on your front teeth can easily detract from an otherwise attractive smile. If you are hesitant about investing in dental veneers, consider cosmetic bonding as a faster and more affordable alternative.
Bonding doesn’t last quite as long as veneers, but like veneers, bonding resists stains and holds its natural-looking color. The end result looks just as great as veneers!
Dr. Watson uses the same custom-tinted, liquid resin used for white fillings for this procedure. Once he has prepared your tooth or teeth, he tints the resin to blend-in with the existing tooth enamel and applies it only where needed. A special light is used to harden the newly shaped tooth so it looks completely natural. Interested in learning more about dental bonding? You may associate braces with middle school or high school students, but more adults than ever are turning to orthodontics to improve their bite and reposition their teeth for cosmetic reasons. Modern braces can be made from metal, clear or tooth-colored structures and many patients qualify for clear, removable aligners!
Depending on your orthodontic needs, Dr. Watson may recommend functional orthodontics, as well as cosmetic orthodontics, to reposition your teeth to enhance your appearance. Traditional braces involve brackets glued to your teeth and a wire that gently forces the teeth into proper alignment. Clear braces can refer to clear brackets and wires or to acrylic aligners, much like a retainer, that move teeth. Dr. Watson can recommend the best solution for your teeth and lifestyle. KoR Teeth Whitening
Over time, our teeth can become discolored and yellowed from exposure to foods, beverages, tobacco, age and some prescription drugs — affecting the way we feel about our smile. When performed by a dentist, teeth whitening, or bleaching, is an effective solution for brightening your smile.
Dr. Watson can administer a higher concentration of whitening solution than over-the-counter systems, so the results are more significant and often quite striking. We offer several types of teeth whitening procedures at our Millcreek dental office, but we are very excited to offer the KoR Whitening system — arguably one of most effective whitening systems currently on the market.
What is KoR Whitening and how is it different than traditional whitening systems?
KoR Whitening is gel-based whitening system that uses bleaching trays for delivery. KoR bleaching chemicals are kept in constant refrigeration, to prevent any chemical breakdown. By refrigerating their system, KoR guarantees that their gel stays at the highest concentration possible.
With most bleaching trays, chemicals are only effective for roughly 25 to 35 minutes (due to air exposure); however, with KoR, custom trays are created to fit precisely — sealing out saliva and any other fluids — preventing the breakdown of bleaching components. The KoR system also has a “Desensitizer” that helps to prevent sensitivity issues during bleaching and unlike other whitening systems, KoR is permanent!
KoR is the only whitening system currently on the market that can even whiten teeth discolored and darkened from tetracycline! You can read all about the KoR Whitening System here.
We recommend the KoR system for patients with:
- Difficult staining for which other whitening methods have failed
- Tetracycline stains
- Anyone who wants ultra-white teeth!
